IFRS 16 Leases

The IASB issued IFRS 16, Leases in January 2016. The standard replaces IAS 17 with effect from 1 January 2019. The new standard adopts a single accounting model applicable to all leases by lessees, thereby, for lessees, abolishing the distinction between operating and finance leases and bringing all leases into the statement of financial position.
